Observations from Bolivian Church.

- We left at 10:30 for church at 10am. Turns out we were early.
- Worship lasted for nearly an hour. BLISS. We sang Eres Todopoderoso--ah mi favorita!
- First time I've ever heard Song of Solomon quoted during worship. Interesting.
- I love, love small churches. This one is a church plant off of the main church in the city center. Everyone, even the 10-yr old kids, was serving! Made me even more excited about church planting in the future!
- It was a stupid idea to think I could read my Greek NT and absorb Spanish preaching at the same time. I'll work on that.

  1. Ah, gringa mia -- I can just see you getting profound insights with your Greek Bible on your lap and the preacher quoting from Song of Songs. Who pastors this small church? From what you described, I'm assuming it's not the one that Johnny Dueri pastors...
I'm glad you didn't have to wait long to sample your first saltena. They are amazing! I'll try not to get my hopes up that you'll bring one home for me. (But maybe you can bring the recipe!)
We leave tomorrow morning at 6 am for Missouri. Will stop at Josh and Anna's for breakfast. Wish you could be with us, but we're excited about all that God has in store for you during these next two months.
    Con mucho amor,
    Dad

  4. Sounds like the Bolivians share your ideas about when it is appropriate to arrive somewhere ;-)

I am very proud of your diligence with the blogging! You're more faithful with it than I was, hahaha!

    "Tu Eres todo poderoso
    Eres grande y majestuoso
    Eres fuerte, invensible
y no hay nadie como tu!"

Gonna be stuck in my head all day now...

    Love you Sylv!!

  5. hahaha marianne, no, here i am VERY on time/early ;) you wouldn't do well here. you'd always be alone at events. haha.

dad: the pastors all pastor both churches, they take turns preaching at the two locations. but it's just to make attendance easier.
